School Management Committee (SMC)
School Management comittte constituted in place of village Education Committee. SMC is constituted according to the position of Free & compulsory child Education Act, 2009. School management committee consists of 12 members up to the enrolment of 300 students & 16 members from 300 to 500 & 20 members on more than enrolment of 500 students in a school Head of the school will work as a member convener of the SMC. If there is no Head Teacher or Head Master the senior teacher will work as a member convener of the SMC
Function of SMCs
To ensure the execution of section 24(A) and (E) and section 28 of RTE.
To monitor the fact under section 27 that teachers should not be levied extra educational work.
To regulate the enrolment and regular attendance of the students in the school.
To safe gaurd the rights of CWSN.
To search out the requirements of the school, format planning and monitor and execution of the provisions of section 4.
To monitor the execution of Mid Day Meal.
To prepare annual accounts of receipt and payments of the school.
To execute all the functions deliver by Govt. time to time
